GB/T5099.1-2017规定，抗拉强度小于1100MPa的钢瓶压扁试验，选用3000kN钢瓶压扁试验机，将钢瓶中部垂直放于瓶体轴线的两个压头中间，以0～50mm/min速度进行匀速加载，对试验钢瓶施加压力，直至压到规定的压头间距T为止。
GB/T5099.1-2017规定了淬火后回火处理的抗拉强度小于1100MPa的钢质无缝气瓶（钢瓶）的型式和参数、技术要求、试验方法、检验规则、标志、涂敷、包装、运输、储存、产品合格证和批量检验质量证明书。GB/T5099.1-2017适用于设计、制造公称工作压力不大于30MPa，公称水容积为0.5L～150L，使用环境温度为-40℃～60℃，用于盛装压缩气体、高压液化气体或混合气体的可重复充装的钢瓶。GB/T5099.1-2017不适用于车用气瓶和机器设备上附属的瓶式压力容器。对于公称水容积小于0.5L的钢质无缝气瓶也可参照GB/T5099.1-2017进行制造及检验。
GB/T5099钢质无缝气瓶分为以下几部分：第1部分：淬火后回火处理的抗拉强度小于1100MPa的钢瓶；第2部分：淬火后回火处理的抗拉强度大于或等于1100MPa的钢瓶；第3部分：正火处理的钢瓶；第4部分：不锈钢无缝气瓶；HRJ Tester；钢瓶压扁压头顶角为60°，压头顶端加工成半径为13mm圆弧，压头长度不小于钢瓶外径的1.5倍，压头高度不小于钢瓶外径的0.5倍；ISO 9809-1及GB/T5099.1-2017要求压扁试验机额定载荷量应大于压扁试验最大载荷量的1.5倍。
